Elder Movement – Meditating with the I Ching

There is a space of growing up that is part of spiritual awakening.  As one becomes an elder, experiencing the identification with universal awareness as more nourishing, enlivening, empowering, vitality giving, than that which is diminishing in the local self / physical being into the greater Self wholeness of the field of Open Hearted Awareness.

From the space of expanded a rejuvenation of the body mind is possible.

The characteristic that stands out in this integrated local self / Universal Self Awareness is moving slowly enough in the local body mind to welcome and connect with the inner guidance of the Universal Self.

Running ahead like a joyful child abandoning this slow steady ecstatic inner connection and guidance is no longer the optimal option.

What is the optimal option?  To move in slow steady connected and resting as beneficial and therefore protected and consistently guided by the universal wisdom source of awake awareness that informs one of what’s best now in the continuously flowing now presence.

One can catch oneself pushing ahead too fast, too far and disconnecting from source and simply slow down or rest and reconnect to the fountain of youth, wisdom, and well-being each time there is a disconnection.

This connection when sought within the flowing now is palpable and thus relatively easy to feel.

Keep coming back to this connection each moment you experience disconnection.

So elder movement is different, yet related to youthful movement, in that both are ecstatic.  What distinguishes elder movement is that it is slower, more conscious, gentle, kind, and compassionate.   And promotes the healing that underlies rejuvination, health, and well-being.

Now

Now is not static.

Now is a moving thing.
It is real that the present moves forward.  To feel the real, open to the experience of time moving forward second by second.  Rather than resist this movement, you are invited to embrace each moment, to see what gifts embracing the realness of moving forward brings.
When we experience the realness of time moving forward, we free ourselves from the past.  We can now release, learn, grow, relate.  We are connected to what is real, true, and therefore what gives us power to create and to change as wanted / needed.
We don’t take life, each other, or ourselves so much for granted.  It helps to realise the sacredness of each passing momen, that it will never return again.
We see the possibilities of progressing, re-creating better than before.
We are informed and hopefully inspired to create the best each moment, and savor, and appreciate more, because we will still have our memories – some would say even beyond this lifetime.
What we do with each now is our free choice.  The permanent memories we create can be truly beautiful and good.  This It is in our power to choose how we use each moment.
Holding each moments sacred, we give ourselves the gift of cherished memories.
Doing our best, giving our best each moment ensures us of receiving the best.
Experiencing this way, we can know that future moments hold similar opportunities.

For a Better World

I Ching Morsels are the most powerfully transformative statements from Theo’s morning reading.   Here is the Morsel for a better world in these turbulent times.  More to come.

33.  Retreat and Renew

Withdraw to higher ground seeding your soul in rest, and retreat.

As you keep still within, allow the healing magnetism of inner light to purify and heal you.  Deep quiet puts you in touch with heaven inside.  Open to benevolent being.
